Used Glass Lined Reactors

A used glass lined reactor — also written as glass-lined or enamel reactor — is the standard vessel for acid-sensitive, corrosive, and contamination-critical chemical processes. The inner surface is coated with multiple layers of borosilicate glass fused to a steel shell, providing excellent corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. We stock used glass reactor vessels from 200 L to 10,000 L, including used glass lined reactor units with intact linings confirmed by spark test.

Each unit is photographed inside and out; any chips, repairs, or lining pinholes are disclosed in the condition report before sale.

Used Stainless Steel Reactors

Our used stainless steel reactor stock covers jacketed and non-jacketed vessels in SS 304 and SS 316L, with anchor, paddle, turbine, and high-shear agitators. A used ss reactor is specified for pharmaceutical intermediates, food-grade processing, and general chemical duty where glass lining is unnecessary. We also carry used stainless steel reactor vessels without agitators — suitable as pressure vessels or for simple batch mixing. Used High Pressure Reactors

A used high pressure reactor vessel is required for hydrogenation, polymerization, hydrothermal synthesis, and supercritical fluid reactions. Operating pressures range from 10 bar to over 300 bar depending on design. We carry used high pressure reactor units in carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy construction. Condition of closure bolting, gaskets, rupture discs, and pressure relief devices is documented in the inspection report.

Used Hastelloy Reactors

A used Hastelloy reactor — typically C-276 or B-2 alloy — is specified when stainless steel is inadequate for highly corrosive, oxidizing, or reducing process streams. These vessels are expensive new; a second hand reactor in Hastelloy can represent significant capital saving. Available units are checked for pitting, weld condition, and alloy identification before listing.

Used Bioreactors

We occasionally stock used bioreactors for sale — stirred tank and air-lift fermenters designed for biological and biotechnology processes. Used bioreactor units in SS 316L with steam-in-place (SIP) and clean-in-place (CIP) capability are available subject to current stock. Bioreactor used equipment is inspected for agitator seal integrity, jacket condition, and instrumentation ports.

• Material of construction — glass lined for corrosive/acid duty; SS 316L for general chemical and pharma; Hastelloy for aggressive media.
• Working pressure & temperature — confirm rated design pressure (bar) and maximum allowable working temperature.
